Fished early Fri/Sat around Rye/Larchmont and found some bluefish and schoolie bass around structure on fly and plugs. Not great action, but steady enough to make it interesting. Am still surprised by the lack of bunker visible on the surface -- last year at this time they were regularly on top in the harbor mouths at first light and harassed by big bluefish.

Yesterday afternoon my 5-yr old boy and I went porgy fishing near Oyster Bay and had a steady pick. He was happy, so so was I.

I didn't get out this weekend. Took the kids tubing yesterday in the bay with all my other fellow war dogs. Maybe that's why I didn't fish? Most likely get out tomorrow first light. Bunker are around here but a bit scarce to say it moderatly.

Not seeing as many here as last year also. The bunker, that is.

Yesterday first light to around 7:00 plenty of bunker in Huntington Bay. Big blues busting them up in four or five different pods. Full sink and bunker patterns did not connect but good to see. Hanful of schoolies in the harbor on my way into work. Chart/Clousers.
