Surf fishing Costa Rica

Hi everyone... I am new to the forum and would to ask for advise.

has anyone here done surf fishing in Costa Rica, specifically in Puntarenas? I will going there next weekend and wanted to see what bait/jigs work better in that area .... should I look for live bait or artificial works good?

Anyways, any advise works for me.

What are your interest? What species of fish will you be targeting? This will influence your choices...on which type tackle you will purchase. Fly rod, spinning rod...assuming you will be traveling with a spinning rod what is you price range[?], so we could advise a 4 piece in your price range.

How long will you be in Costa Rica[?], can/will you be traveling to the east side?
