Goc Deval Patrick's pending budget cuts vs the future of Ma F&W?

I had occasion to speak with someone knowledgable who works for Ma F&W the other day. He voiced his deep concern of the following.
Gov Deval Patrick has promised deep, painful budget cuts to all Ma agencies, esp Ma F&W. If these go as feared, this could essentially dismantle and put to an end the Ma F&W and most of their programs as we know it.

I can't find anything regarding this online, and would like to add my $0.02 voicing my displeasure before it's too late.:(

I can't even imagine what it will be like after the budget cuts. The Mass F&W is already a shell of it's former structure.

Probably won't need to buy a fresh water license or salt water license since there won't be anything to enforce or the people needed to do the job anyway.
