Here's a couple more things I've been fooling with. One is my favorite cod stick.(before and after) The other is a handle assembly to my new 7'6" oti prototype, new carbon fiber, blank I'm building, for casting to tuna. Nothing is glued up yet,I'm waiting for some "Bling"parts I ordered from Matagi in japan. This thing should be sweet when I'm done. I'll post up some pics when I'm done.

Nothing like slicing and dicing an old rod, looks way better than new!!
Question: On your jigging stick, why such a long butt? I'm "not that tall", so I prefer a pretty short butt on a spinner like that.
Nothing but the finest tools - I love that cleaver.:brow
Sweet wraps and the OTI split grip is pretty cool too.

Not sure what you mean slap. The cod jiggin stick was a rebuild that I didn't change the butt. I do like a short butt on a jig rod,but I didn't want to change the reel seat on this one. pain in the butt removing a reel seat. The handle assembly is to an oti 7'6" popping rod. I like a long butt on a spinning rod, kind of helps"leverage" a cast for me.

I didn't get that the spinner was 7'6", maybe I need to improve my reading skills. --125-3 What can you expect from a bait shop boy.
I will be interested to see that rod when done. Split grips are nice for decorating!

Now that is some fine lookin work .Very unique. Is that what they call a "tiger wrap" on the back side of the dice? did you make those grips?

That is a tiger wrap, very easy to do and I think they are best as an underwrap for something else, but each to their own.
I made the grips, eva, contact cement and sandpaper. Those were a little over the top. I should post some pics of the tuna stick that I made in the fall. A bit more refined.
