I'm heading down to the Hobe Sound area the first week in March and interested to see what in-shore opportunities there are in the area. With the little research I have done I'm guessing snook and redfish are options. Are there resident tarpon in that area worth targeting? Any intel you can share is most appreciated.

Also, any reputable guides that specialize in flyfishing that you can recommend would be a huge help as well. Willing to travel up to an hour if necessary. Thanks, in advance. Feel free to PM me if necessary.

Thanks,
Ryan

First week in March you should have Snook, Redfish, Jacks, Pompany and SeaTrout. Like up here on the space coast there are some resident Tarpon but most migrated south before cold weather set in and probably will not be back there until late April or May. And whether we get a good run or not is contingent on how they survived our last cold snap.

Hopefully, some guides from that area will chime in here. If not, I'll get a line on one or two and get back to you here.
