Spent the long weekend up in the Adirondacks with the family. Was able to race out for a couplehours on the West Branch of the Ausable. Hit a pool I frequent and quickly got on the board with a small brown. Hooked into a couple more that had some size, but both managed an LDR.

... then moved downstream into the pocket water. Fooled a nice brook trout and a few more good sized browns. Then raced back home to fire up the smores on the camp fire.

The scenery on the river never gets old.

That's a great looking brown. I was there this weekend too. The fishing was somewhat finicky in the evenings.

It was surprising the amount of smoke from the Quebec fires, the sky was hazy with it.

The smoke was crazy. I went out to the pond for my morning coffee and figured there was a local fire because the smell/haze were so strong. Only later did I see it was in Quebec.
