I am new to Reel-time but not to new to fishing the Cape.
I am comming in on July 4th to the 10th. I plan to split my time fly fishing and plugging. Can anyone recomennd any good tide times to plug or jig the canal on the 5th, 6th or 7th? I spend lots of time at Scorton Creek but only seem to see MICRO sizeed bass. Are there keepers in the creek? I am also looking for your opinion on where you would think my best oportunity would be to find a big fish from shore during these dates. I do realize that on of the only man that could actually give me this information accuratly is able to walk on water himself, but your input would be appreaciated.

There are keepers in the Creek, most are caught at night with live eels. It's tough at the mouth with light tackle to get past the small ones. I replies to a post below (Hyannis Cape Cod Assistance) These places are not that far from you and are a great bet for the shore angler. Also, just up the way is Barnstable Harbor flats. There have been TONS of fish in waist deep water that are accessable to waders. Same disclaimer as before. (WATCH THE INCOMING TIDE AT BARNSTABLE!!!) The flats are huge but the water does come in fast don't get caught up in all the fish and forget the tide.

Good Luck,
