Late report

Fished NY harbor the past 2 weekends with my boys, 6 and 8. Tried jigging plastic but no takers. Got some bunker and did the chunk with light takle and fish on! Lots of action with stripers up to 28lbs. There is nothing better then watching your little ones battle it out with their faces lit up. Non stop action, as long as the water was moving. Even took out 2 of their friends that never fished the salt before and now they're ruined! They used to be happy catching sunnies in a pond- not anymore!

I'll let you slide with the "ametuer" bunker fishing, since you had the young ones with ya!!! Glad you caught and produced. Was in the JCAA fluke tournamnet, took 5th place in Jersey City division with a 23" 5 pounder.

Thanks for letting me "slide!" At least I was using the same light tackle I jig with. Last Thursday morning, my father and I got about a dozen bass to 37", most on swim shads and bucktails. I must confess though- last few caught on unlucky bunker that happened to swim by. Nice fluke you got there, the boys and I are going to try our hand at them now that the bass are winding down. Jigs from here on out!
