Greenport Charters in October

I am hosting a small corporate event in Greenport in mid-October. For one of the social activities I'd like to hire a fishing charter for the afternoon. I know most of the good capts in Nantucket and Cape but have never fished Greenport NY before. Any advice?

One of the best captains on the North Fork is Richie Jensen . He's out of Orient by the Sea , right next to the ferry terminal at Orient Point.

That's good advice from Browndog. Most of the charter fleet operates out of Orient-by-the-Sea Marina. You can get open boats, 6-pack charters, flyrod guides out of that marina. Plus, you only have to go out about 5 mins before hitting fishable water.

Small group definitely Richie. Large group try Peconic Star Express .New capt who mated on all the Orient boats.
No need to say mid Oct. will be a busy time so book early .Richie may be booked already

I've heard great things about Bob Rochetta's Rainbow Charters. He holds the NYS record Striped Bass after all. Out of Orient as well.
