Looking to do a trip to either Andros or Eleuthera the first week in November. Any thoughts on going this time of year? Hoping it is after the storms and before cold fronts. Thanks

Sounds great - I'm planning on heading to Andros myself, later in November. I'm reliably informed it's a great time to go - weather's reliable but, fishing's good and like you say, there's less chance of a cold front blowing through. If it's anything like my trip to Andros last March, it'll be great.
Best of luck to you...

Never been to Andros that time of year but go in Spring. I've heard from numerous (reliable) people that time of year is fine and one of the better times to go.
Obviously the closer you get to December the risk of those cold fronts increase.
Good luck, have fun and report back here on how it goes!

Ive been to Andros a couple times and my guides always say that the fishing remains pretty consistent year round. They would agree that there isnt really a 'season' or a better time of year to fish as the temp remains the same year round. Though considering this past year I guess there would be an increased chance of a nasty cold front, however unlikely. The only thing that would affect whether or not Nov is a good time to go will likely external factors like guide avail, room avail, airfare etc.

I've fished South Andros in November and found the fishing to be very good. If I had my choice, I would fish in May, but it doesn't seem to matter that much on S. Andros. I wouldn't worry about it, if I had the time, I'd go myself.
I would bring a few Peterson's Spawning Shrimp in #4, that's my favorite S. Andros fly. If you have a little time before you go, give Andrew Moy a call at Tightlines Fly Fishing in NJ. He ties some of the nicest Peterson Shrimp I've ever seen, almost too pretty to fish with. He can tie up a half dozen in #4 and I'll bet they work out for you. Good luck.
