Was a bit slow to get going due to the rain so on the water by 7am. Since it was calm and my lund is still in the shop. I putted (4hp takes awhile) out to the tip on SandyNeck and went out to the east bar. Fish all over the place feeding on small fry, I could not see the bait, even went I had fish feeding almost next to the boat. Fly rod was useless. Probably if I had a clear line like what Terry describes below it would have been a different story.
But all was not lost , Every so often I'd pick up my spinning rod and cast a sluggo, catch a few fish, chance the fly and try again.
