Went out at 6am on thursday with the full compliment of
weapons (spin/fly/bait). Fished the halftide rocks area
first, nothing. Drifted around the mouth, nothing. Settled
back to the toothpick by 9 or 10 (high tide) and WHAM!

Very clear water, we could see the fish buzzing past the
boat. Tons of hookups - some approaching 29", but the one
for the grill continues to elude me this season.

Almost no boat traffic by the 'pick', but still managed
to have some moron in a Key West almost plow into me at
low speed while I was anchored. It was unbelieveable.
Enough room to navigate the QE2, and the idiot still almost
cuts my anchor line - and comes withing 4 feet of my bow.

the merrimac can be full of morons, both on and of the shore.I have seen some pretty poor fish handling there....
and too many floaters from bad releases....education is only wasted on the intelligent!!!

What about thoes couple of idiots in thoes loud go fast boats, that instead of staying in the channel go right through the fishing fleet and out the river. Big waves and driving the fish you've been trying not to spook under.
Thank God they don't seem to get out on the water until after 9:30 AM
