Worked the incoming tide this morning around the Harbor.

We stayed inside for the most part working all around Spec. and then over into the Deer Island rip for a while.

Nothing, nada, zip from 5:30 to 7:00 am.

We finally got into some schoolies in the hole off the runway lights in the flats around 7 am then had to get to the office.

3 Men, 3 Fish - pride saved once again.

No birds or busts all morning - gotta just keep working the structure....

Anyone know who's got the key to the bait cage??

what brought those massive schools of fish last year were massive schools of bait. without the bait schools the fish are just orienting to structure and picking off what comes by. That leaves us to either target each boulder and pocket until we find a hungry fish who wants to eat what we got, or to troll around to locate same. Pray for bait.

Don't feel bad. I was out from 6:30 to 9 and got one schoolie by the LI bridge. I tried the hole on my way in but nothing was happening.

I spent some time around Boston Light with a couple of other boats and didn't see a fish taken. The water temperature out there was 54 degrees. It usually is around 60 this time of year.

I'm gonna start doing a bait dance.

The schools and birds finally appeared last night (from 7 to 9) between the long airport pier and Winthrop. Lots of fish on top chasing bait. First time I have seen it like that in a month. There were some bigger fish mixed in with the school. I hope this is a sign of things to come.

Nice to hear 'bout the surface action.

I was out with the family on Saturday Mid-day just a pleasure trip, but I did see some busting in the main channel between the airport and castle island.

The boys drifting dead herring seemed to be landing fish outside deer island...

Bait Dance indeed!!
