Yup, sounds like a broken record.
BUT, we have and will continue to hit fish top to bottom of the river for many weeks com'n.
(100% in ALL spots :)
20% old Salmon presently but mostly 80% fresh, hard fighting, high fly'n, tail walk'n, speeding bullet runs from the many freshies (chromers - Steelhead - Metal heads)
that are all present in the river top to bottom.
Great time to wet a line on the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY. 1/2 hour North of Syracuse. (Easy drive)
Hope you ALL get a chance to experience this incredible world class fishery!
Few anglers around (especially mid-week) compared to a couple of weeks ago :)
Fish abound for the angler that understands:
1. Habitat
2. Rigging
3. (most importantly) Presentation
You could be off by a lil on any of the above and only hope to get lucky :)
Put all 3 together continuously and you'll hit'm BUT Good!
Care to learn?
Best of luck!
Best Fish's,
Randy

just read the regulation again last nite.
Still have some Q about it, can I use jighead with some plastic lure or kastermaster tins for salmon fishing?
And what is free-swinging hook?

I'm guessing your answer would be in regard's to the " Intent of the angler."
I'd ask an official, as these rules and reg's are State regulated.
-
I would never personally, NEVER fish in your manner, unless out on the lake.
-
Sorry I cant be of more help,
Randy
P.S. No judgements here. :)
