I have begun the slow process of establishing a CCA chapter here in the state of RI. It is slow in developing yet i believe it will eventually happen. "I hope" I am looking to determine the degree of interest in establishing such an organization here in RI. After all, aren't we stewards of the finite resources were so much enjoy. I have been involved in some of the benefits and fund raising banquets in NH and CT and they have been fabulous. The people are very much involved and true advocates for the fisheries. Is ther any interest out there. For more info:

It is a slow process but a rewarding one. Hang in there...We started a Mass. South Shore CCA chapter a few years ago with only a handful of guys interested in striped bass fishing. Our membership has grown tenfold and we now have very good attendance at monthly meetings and events. While I don't have all the answers, feel free to e-mail me with any questions about getting your chapter off the ground.
Good luck!

It is a very worthwhile endeavor. One which I would support. I was a member in CT, where my primary residence is. But exclusively fish RI where I have a summer cottage. With all I've been hearing about Striper stocks in trouble again, it's important for the recreational fisherman to lend support to the conservation of our sport. CCA provides an excellent opportunity to lend that support. Therefore, the many RI recreational fisherman need to get behind a chapter of their own. Let me know if I can help or where to sign up once you get it going. Good luck.
