I'll be visiting friends in the Boston area this weekend and am looking for a place to launch my kayak to fish either Boston Harbor or Duxbury bay. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the help.

Hingham Harbor is perfect for Kayaks. At high tide, you can park your car about 30 feet from the water. You'll find many other kayakers there as well.

although not in boston {proper} a trip to deer island
will put you into prime fishing spots {QUICKLY}!
there is a parking lot 30 yards from the water,
right before the guard shack.a map of winthrop
should lead you there easily.the airport flats
are a short paddle away, and faun bar is off
to your left.
good luck, wherever you end up.

hi dave,if you want to launch in Duxbury, ge toff rt 3 on exit 11 at the police station bear right cross 3a when you come to a point where you have to turn(pole in middle of road) go left follow road till you get to the powder point bridge. on the near side is a beach launch, free parking. you need a permit for the far side(beach area). not sure but i may be there in the a.m. Tom D

Tom,

Thanks for the quick tour of Duxbury bay. I appreciated your help. Maybe next time we'll get into more fish.

Please let me know if I can return the favor if you head down to the CT/RI border area.
