Waquoit Access?

I would like to fish the channel at the southern end of Waquoit reserve, but have no boat...are there paths or a beachfront that I can walk to get there? I know the west end is an island, so I am thinking of the east, it looks I might be able to get to the beach and just walk there, but you never know at the cape where you can and can't access the water, and more importantly, where you can and can't leave your car. Can anyone tell me if it's best to park in the reserve and follow trails that might exist or to find a place where I can get to the beach and just head west? I have never been to Waquoit, so any advice is much appreciated.

You can access the jetties by parking in the South Cape Beach or Mashpee Town Beach parking lots and walking to the jetties. It's a long walk, so bring only what you will need.
