shad fishing

Has any one caught the shad running up the merrimack river. I was hoping to fish for some stripers or shad this weekend near the dam in lawrence.

I saw some stripers being taken there last week. Haven't heard much about shad this year.

Reports say stripers and shad all way to the dam. We got out late yesterday and struck out on the stripers. At the well known big bend in the river a buddy and I got 4 shad, two were bigger hens. Willow leaf spoons were the way to go.
