Made the walk from S. Cape beach (and what a walk, my goodness) to the jetti around 6:00 PM. Straight to the end of the jetti where there were the birds were working the break in the jetti. Wind was blowing right in our faces so nothing was easy. Caught a few micros on a little sluggo (anything larger was ignored - the fish they were feeding on were TINY). Around 7:30 the birds moved off, and it quieted down. 8:30 large school of breaking fish moved into the channel and started making their way toward us - bigger (than the first school) stripers flipping and jumping. Wind made it difficult to reach 'em, but they moved just close enough and it was ON. Caught half a dozen on a large popper, all around 20", before they drifted back out of range. All very exciting - worth the walk, wind and mung we had to deal with. Thanks for the info I recieved via reel-time on where to park (and the warning about the walk).

Fished along the Back River in Wareham that morning also - couple of schoolies on bait under the 3A bridge on the outgoing. Light tackle and sea-clams were all that worked.
