First time I've fished RI since late April. Unfortunately I didn't have much to show for it. Did the "rolling cobblestone" walk out to Church's point an hour before dawn. The surf was up pretty good and I couldn't get very natural drifts with flies, so I mostly used spinning gear. All I could dredge up in two hours was one lone schoolie on a metal. All the other usual "go to" lures were ignored. No bait or fish seen. Chunking crew wasn't doing anything either.
Since I was in the area anyway, I went to Sakonnet jetties well after sunup just to make a few fly casts around the pots. Nada there either.
