Just want to tell you all that I just bought a new spool for my Lamson reel through the Saltwater Edge in RI. I worked priamrily with "Tim" and they couldn't have been more helpful.

I don't even live in RI, but they were probably better than local shops here on the south shore of MA.

I would urge anyone thinking about buying gear to check them out. Call them at (401) 842-0062 or visit their site.
You'll be glad you did.

They're just getting going with a newly designed site offering full e-commerce. I just checked it out a little while ago and it looks good. They've also been a RT sponsor for years.

Mark,

I forgot to mention at the RT clave on Monomoy I met and fished with a young guy Dave I believe was his name. Anyhow he is doing the upgraded site design for Saltwateredge.com. Mentioned the upgrade is worth watching for.

He came across as a real nice guy. He told me fishes Monomoy quite a bit. He seriously knew his stuff.

Took a ride over to check out The SaltWater Edge last week, was expecting an overpriced Newport tourist attraction. Pleasently surprized to find a large, modern, well stocked shop with good service and great prices, large selection of gear... no this isnt a paid advertisment, I just appreciate good customer service.

Tim, Steve, Eric, Peter, Corey, and Ken will do nothing less than make you feel welcomed, provide information and advice, as well as doing whatever it takes to make you feel satisfied with their products. I am very fortunate to have it as my local shop and am a better fisherman for it. I cannot over emphasize the wealth of knowledge amassed at TSE. I leave the shop knowing a little more each and every time. It has definitely raised the high water mark for other shops to emulate.

Couldn't agree more, based on my visit to the shop.
