Bonito In Jersey (yet)?

Will POSSIBLY be in Jersey next weekend - wondering if any "speedsters" have been spotted?

I'll only have a couple of hours to fish, so was wondering where I can surf cast that's clost to the back end of Raritan Bay (where the river enters) since that's where I'll be closest to (Old Bridge, NJ)?

No bonito have been caught this far north yet, although it could be anytime. They have been seen further south off the coast of southern Jersey. They'll show up here anytime, maybe you'll get lucky and catch the first of the season. You had better take along some bluefish/bass/weakfish flies, you've got a better chance, let us know how you make out.
