Trip scheduled for Monday July 24 7PM at Lewis Beach Parking lot. Bring chest waders and tackle as tide will be dropping towards low. Trip will be scratched if lightining or strong onshore winds are prevalent.

unfortunately due to bad weather predicted again, our trip was short of attendees. But when Don and member Al Guckes decided to move to Henlopen pier area, results were quite productive. Each fly fisherman caught and released over 15 Croaker. The fight on light tackle was exciting and lasted into night. Flies used were both all blk and wht/chartreuse Clousers.

Don, There were 2 other members there Monday night who must of missed the 2 of you and the fish as well. I caught a "skunk" and my newly met SWFAofDE partner from Rehobeth landed a flounder. We waded in between the pier and the ferry wall around 7:15pm and called it a night by 9:00pm as the wind died down and the tide continued out. Sorry we missed you as this was probably the only outing I will be able to make till next year this time. (Second shift workers find it difficult to make weekday evening outings. ;-));

I arrived at the pier area around 6:00pm and fished a bit and talked to Hoss for awhile before the 7:00pm starting time.

Jim: I'am sorry that we missed you. We waited until 7:30 in front of beach shack opposite Kupchicks, then moved to the Henlopen area -fished till 10:30. I should issue better instructions next time!
