Dolphin? Dorado? Mahi mahi? Just about ANY fly big enough to reasonably simulate a flying fish, even a popper, will do. These are NOT smart, fussy, or finicky fish. They are eating machines. Find them and you'll catch them, sometimes nearly the whole school. I thought they were the dumbest fish in the sea, but a guide tells me amberjack are dumber and even easier to catch, once you find them. I have to take his word for it.

Lefty Kreh's page has an excellent article written by Dan Blanton on Dolphin flyfishing.
