Originally born and raised in Emmaus, Pa (near Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton) Willing to drive an hour to spots on the Deleware, from Allentown. Been living in the South Shore in Massachusettes for the past five years. I am a striper surfcaster, and was looking for info on some spots to get into some fish on the Deleware. Any mussel bed areas to wade in, areas with good structure and current? What is the striper fishing like down there? Any good info on spots to hit, etc... I'd be willing to help anyone out coming up north to the South Shore, Cape Cod area, in as a return favor. TIGHT LINES, Segha

SEGHA, I FISHED YOUR CAPE LAST WEEK FOR THE FIRST TIME AND HAD A BLAST WITH SCHOOLIE BASS UP TO 24 INCHES! TODAY I ENTERED REEL TIME TO FIND OUT ABOUT STRIPERS IN THE DELAWARE RIVER - THAT I'M ONLY 20 MIN. FROM - ON THE SOUTHERN PHILADELPHIA SIDE.
ALL I KNOW IS THAT THERE IS A SPAWN IN THE SPRINGTIME THAT YOU CAN REACH FROM THE BANKS ACCORDING TO THE TALK AT A SUPPLY HOUSE - THOSE GUYS ARE BAIT FISHERMAN USING BLOOD WORMS. I ALSO READ A BOOK BEFORE GOING TO THE CAPE - THE L.L.BEAN FLY FISHING FOR STRIPED BASS HANDBOOK THAT MENTIONS PA.'S DELAWARE RIVER AS AN AREA FOR STRIPER FLY FISHING. FROM THE PHILA. AIRPORT TO THE DEL/MEMORIAL BRIDGE WITH A LOT OF STRUCTURE.
THIS IS WHAT I'VE HEARD AND READ I AM AS ANXIOUS AS YOU ARE TO FIND OUT MORE. HOW ABOUT THE FALL SEASON OR NOW IN THE SUMMER?
TIGHT LINES TO YA & HOPE WE BOTH CAN FIND OUT MORE,
STEVEY

Stevey thanks for the Reply! I would like to try and hit it now! I can easily access the Deleware River New Jersey-Pennsylvania Bridge but don't know if they go that far up there? I friend of mine from back home also told me about the spawning! He was like yea that's one of the prime spawning spots! However I also am not sure if there still around? But I'll keep you posted if i findout any more info! Tight Lines, Segha
