VHF

I have a small (14 ft) aluminum boat that I take into Boston Harbor (weather permitting!). I always take a cell phone for emergencies, but I am thinking I need a hand-held VHF.I have searched this board for info and I think I could get by with a 5W handheld. Can anyone recommend a good one? Does anyone have one they would like to sell?

I have the water resistent one from Hummingbird. D-5 I think. I liked it although it would not last being on the entire time I tend to fish. So would leave it off unless there was a need. While my personal use range was limited. I could contact the canal coast guard from Barnstable Harbor.
Currently it needs repairs after a total submergence in saltwater for indeterminate length of time.
