Good day today, Hosted Capt. Paul Eidman and my son Andrew on my Parker. Managed to land 8 Bass to 24" on poppers and sluggo's. Also 1 weakfish made it's way into the box.

Did you happen to get outside the Hook on Saturday? Major blitz action on the anchovies. Mostly 2-3lb blues but plenty of False Albacore mixed in. The were few party boats that made things tough for the small boats but the albies were hungry. Being mixed with blues, I'll be at the vise trying to restock the boxes.

Burned a lot of gas trying to find them on Sunday without any luck. The blues were still there, but I couldn't find the albies.

Young Andrew is much better then his dad ever was at his age. He caught 4, I think. He's pretty good at working the popper. Does not have the sluggo retrieve down yet but it's coming. Was not out Saturday. Almost never fish weekends. heard the albies were caught. I have some great new anchovie patterns to try. Should be fishing on Thursday.

Hit Shrews Rocks Sat, very spotty, Had to have the luck of being there when they popped up, that was all you had.
Not a good day for us with the albies. Sorry we missed the bite at the hook. Maybe if I thought more like an albie I'd catch more.
