North River still worth it?

Considering dropping my yak in at Union Street ahead of incoming tide tomorrow AM.

Should I even bring the rod or is the North done for the season? Thanks.

Is Herring River a better option?

Standard striper techniques?

I was on the river this morning. Managed a 24", a 26" and a half dozen micros on the fly. Not gang busters but not bad either. I was up in a creek in the S. River. Last weekend I had a lot of luck up the NR...didn't hit that spot this morning but I bet it's still going strong. Put in at Union and head down river - you'll find fish.

the herald fishing report stated this am that someone caught a 47 pounder at the mouth of the north river. so, whether it usually fishes well now or not, it will be full of boats this weekend.

its always full of boats if the weather is nice regardless.

There are plenty of good places to fish in the river but everyone heads straight for the mouth...kinda funny actually.

Thanks for the info, hopefully the weather is dull so boats stay home.
