Back River, Weir River 5/21 - nothing happening
Fished the Back River last night on the falling tide. Didn't see a thing happening. Not so much as a tap...
Moved over to the Weir River. First cast got a big swirl when I lifted it out of the water at the bank, then nothing. Theory is that we'd missed the tide...fish dropped back into the bridge hole or moved out. Bait guys at the bridge said they were getting lots of taps from schoolies.
Had a nice dinner at Stars, then home. Great to be out fishing.
Don't despair...early season can mean monster days or epic skunkings.
