9-8: Canal Rpt

I haven't done much on the east tide since the spring, and last night was no exception. One or two hits and that was it. Granted it was a spot that I don't normally fish on the east tide. Bob picked a up a few. Later I headed east and it was the same deal.

The west tides and moon phase aren't really the best this weekend for the Canal, so I may head to RI tomorrow instead.

On the bottom of the west running tide the place was full of small breaking fish

Yep, I swung by Bell Rd at the last of the west and saw breaking fish here and there. Looked like a lot of activity out past the Maritime Ship at Onset Bay entrance but didn't have my binocs. Lot of boats working some kind of blitz.

Made plans to fish the canal this weekend (the only time my buddy could make it)...hope to catch the end of the west and maybe some plugging or blues later on.

Lets hope the weather is good for next weekend?
