looking for some company saturday am for danvers river trip

I am going to be heading out saturday am, early, weather permitting, and would like some company if anyone's interested. Got room for 1 person. Its gonna be a river trip in my 14 foot tin boat w/ a 7.5 HP motor, so its not luxury but it does the job. If the wind is not too bad, I may launch in salem or marblehead harbor first and poke around there. These tales of pogies have me curious....

so, if any shorebound guys want to head out, drop me a PM and let me know. Id expect anything from a few fish to fish everyother cast, most likely somewhere inbetween. I havent been out there yet, so who knows, but it beats sleeping in.

While I dont flyfish, fly rodders are welcome, as long as you dont bounce a clouser off my head!!

and the best part of all: the fuel costs are so minimal I wont even need gas money!!!!!!

Don't put too much stock in the forecast, and just get out there.
Last year around this time the forecast was evil looking. We launched out of McCabe and had no problem making it to Manchester. The forecast kept everyone off the water. We didn't see another boat all day, and it was a SATURDAY!

We had all the mackerel and bass to ourselves....along with a ton of rain, but the wind that was supposed to be there was non-existant!

I'll give you a buzz tomorrow night and we can figure from there.

Its not the boat, its person driving it. once it gets the 25HP motor, it will be a better set-up. I just want a bigger motor to spend more time fishing and less time driving. The 7.5 HP runs awesome, but just moves too slow.

But then again, I'll only be using it when Im not running Johns boat.

FWIW, one of the best bass guys on the north shore uses a 14 foot boat, or maybe smaller.
