Stripes in Boston Harbor

Dave Routhier took 2 schoolies at Hull Gut yesterday afternoon. They're here!

You can expect they're pretty much throughout Cape Cod Bay and Cape Ann then. Also have word from Surfland that fish are being taken in the mouth of th Merrimack and the Parker.

Yup. First charter of the season Tuesday afternoon. I'll be out tomorrow morning as well and will report.

Yesterday we found schools of bass mainly in the 26" range with some small keepers up to 30" in the mix, feeding voraciously on herring and small bait. Even released one schoolie that puked up worms. Kinda gross but cool ;-).

I was out in Boston Harbor for a bit this weekend. Workd three hours in the outer islands to catch bait and only got on big mack to show for it. At least they are out there now. couldn't entice a bass to hit it inshore though which was surprising.

I'm finding the same thing in the backwaters. 26-low 30" range. It's on now!

I went down to my shore spot in the inner harbor first thing this morning. My first cast of the year, first five seconds of the retrieve I got a 26" schoolie! Of course, the next hour of dropping flies in the current the same way didn't yield a single other bite, but I'll take it.
