Thumbs up Same Here

I went out Sunday from Weymouth as well, and said thank you several times for the beautiful day.

I scouted several sites (down current from rock piles) where I had caught herring, smelt and tinkers 10 days earlier. At that time larger fish where in the mixed schools, which were were pretty heavy on the FF.

Nothing showed on the FF Sunday at Rainsford, Pemberton or Peddocks, so I hit the Brewsters.

The weather was absolutely perfect, best conditions all year, low wind, less than 0.5 mph drift.

I drifted from the south side of middle brewster to the southeast. After a few minutes I started to catch tinkers and harbor pollack on a sabiki. So I anchored and lost the school.

I started a new drift across the same line and killed them, by not anchoring. The small fish gave way to 1 to 1.5 pound mackerel, coming up four at a time.

I also live lined a few tinkers with no action they were released for another day.

The only big blip of the day on the FF was on the return run, in the middle of Hingham Bay.

Some of the fish were still kicking when they were prepped for the broiler, split, skin down, with butter and fresh lemon.

There is nothing better than fresh fish.

Time to winterize and do some needed maintenance on my equipment, it was nice going out on a positive note.
