Long Island Bays, Shelter Island, Block Island

I am picking up a boat a new boat and running it from Long Island to the Boston Area.

I have always wanted to fish my way through Long Island's South Shore, Shelter Island and Block Island. I would appreciate any local intel about the current fishing conditions, and good spots that hold fish and bait.
