Thumbs up Muddler deerhair collars and heads

This is not my tip. I found on another news group.Just thought I would pass it along. This works good.
First you put the collar on as you usually do. Clip the butts before you start spinning the hair for the head. This will help when you trim the head as you won't trim the collar with it.

Been a while since the last time I post, still think this sticky is superb for new tyers and advance tyers. (forgot about my passion, just to work....!)
Hope it gets better and more usefull info on the matter adds up.
A few more, now that halloween is coming, lots of fancy stuff is sold, have you seen the hairs????
Some of the hairs you find are great for streamers, big saltwater flies, peacock bass flies etc....
Theres even flashabou wigs, not all of them are good, some of them brake easily but some elongate, wont loose the flash and will make good flashy stuff on big flies.
And christmas is coming.....

Been full of stress, remeber about tying and fishing and suddenly my mind got totally distracted....... and happy

Re:

They are great flies and when you get how to make them that's all you will want to make, they take some time to master so take your time.

wanna You can color up epoxy mixing it up with any marker over wax paper.
-Christmas is a good month to find fly tying materials.
