Nice report of the tropical fish looks like what you would catch out of an aquarium. Ha. I have caught the mayans before and nicknamed them the turbo charged sunfish. Some of them will turn and burn once hooked. Great fun!

the Mighty Mighty Speed Dart has had its greatest day! now in the same class as the Electric Dread, it has now produced the same number of species...added today while I has getting huge pompano I spotted PERMIT swimming and switched up rods and flies and went 1 of 2 before they escaped...permit #7 is in the books...I must point out that I had lucky rock in my pocket plus lucky permit shirt from Ray "big fish" Hafsten but its bad luck to be superstitious...chop chop-all hail to the Mighty Mighty Speed Dart

I will never fish anywhere except the west side...good example is I fish the west side of North Miami. Little Haiti, Crandon Park etc...lol...I just fish it different...I dont expect to see tailing fish so I hunt them based on conditions instead of locations...I just know where to be and when to be there hopefully...hunting for bones is a losing battle if you are hoping to stumble across a lost tailing bone like the old days....I havent seen it done in over 2yrs by anybody and I would say I have caught more than anybody on the west side with 19 bones landed since the freeze

Most sane folks would not admit to fishing with that guy. He probably stole the shirt he gave you right off his own back...LMAO

ended up getting new MONIC flyline instead of reel...really like it for clear water...hard rain has taken its toll on me with 6 cancellations this month including 2 today...I fished anyway...had a 25lb snook cut thru my bite tippet on the 3rd headshake and got a handful of redfish all about the same more or less...it rained 3" while I was there and winds reached over 30mph however the Mighty Mighty Speed Dart always comes thru

Well Mr Mighty Speed dart, whats shaking? Been chasing tarpon out front during the afternoons. Some big schools but nothing to the boat yet. I even brought the mighty SAM out with me today, but alas, not to be.....
