barnstable flats saturday

Went fishing with the crew saturday using the freedom hawks and my newly acquired pro angler. The fish didn't cooperate on the outgoing. We saw fish being caught on live macks in the main channel and a few fish would slide up from the channel edges near the end of the tide. When the tide started coming in we started seeing fish and a few were very large. For the most part the fish were very spooky and I could get a follow now and then only to be turned down when they got too close. Vinny got a nice 30" bass with a great battle I have some pics I will try to post later. Just as the fish started to really show the wind kicked up real bad and though I got a few shots the fish were too close by the time I saw and spooked quickly. All and all a good day and the new boat performed admirably and there's nothing better than seeing a bass run your fly down in shallow water.
