best trip of the year...

Took my son out flounder fishing on Saturday morning on a dads n sons trip. Before floundering we looked around to see if we could find any stripers.

I played guide and gave him instructions and he quickly picked up a 26" bass. A few minutes later I was lipping a bass just over 30"

he got it on a Hogy Slappy Jig rigged with a 10" hogy, the acorn doesn't fall far...

We ended up having a good morning on the flatties too!

The flounder fishing was very good, flounder are very kid friendy, after last year he is very adept at it. Easy limits now.

Nice work Slappy! My dad got me hooked on fishing by taking me flounder fishing out there back in the day. Can't wait until my son is old enough for me to take him out

Got my son and his buddy into a NY limit on our opening day 5/6. I think we enjoy it more then they do.

Thanks for burning that hot spot with the photos. Now I know EXACTLY where you were...17.8 ft of water in Boston Harbor. Don't be surprised if I'm there next time you go out.
