Flags are Poppin!

Hit a shallow pond in Mashpee. A good 4-5 inches of ice. Took 20 minutes to get the third line in the water, I had to keep going back and forth between the first two, releasing fish. When I did have all five lines in the water, I then had to deal with two or three flags flying. Final tally was 1 pickerel, too many perch to count, and two bass, the larger one tipping the scales at #4.

Went back to Santuit pond after a day of 42 and rain, then a day of 25 weather. Today's temp was 32 with light snow. One hole was busy all day over 30 flags and the hole next to it nothing. Perch galore with 4 bass, 1.5, 2,2 and 3#. Two pickerel with the largest at 21". Need more bait.
