Chatham 9-2-17

Fished Chatham and it was a very cool and a little breezy day that slowly got hazy which made sight fishing later in the afternoon a bit difficult.

The morning session was started with a breakout of a brand new Betsy and she did herself proud. The first fish was almost a no brainer since the cast was in the air and as it turned over fish started breaking right were she would land, two strips and it was a done deal and a 24 inch fish was on the board.

The next fish hit close and put me on the reel in short order and measured 31 inches and the last fish of the day came in at 28 inches.

When the tide hit high slack I headed home to beat what I am sure would be an off cape back up.

It was good to see Bucko on the water, I think it was the first time I saw him all year, He was still fishing when I left and I hop he had some luck

Chatham is a special place...a good walk in a scenic place and a chance at larger bass.

The larger bass never showed for me. After BFD left I got a couple of sub 20 inch fish.
