Great River Ramp

Tried the new Great river ramp this morning. The ramp itself is a very nice duel ramp with the dock in the middle. Backing up is not a straight shot so it takes some getting used to. They now have signs about the need for a permit going half way down the road. Once launched I headed over to fish the rips by Marthas Vinyard. Found some bluefish feeding on the surface. Puked up squid and sand eels. When the tide peaked it looked like the fish were chasing the bait away from the now non existent rip. Caught up with them and cast the fly into their midst to be rewarded with a nice 26" striper. Time to clean the boat.

Nice action

Good Striper on the long wand. Those Blues do leave their mark on the boat deck.

Bob, I googled the Great River Ramp for directions and also info on who can use it but only found info about the construction and opening. Do you know where I can find that info?

Great Neck Road in Mashpee. Same road to South Cape Beach. There is a sign, on the right, about 1/2 mile before South Cape.

Thanks. Do you need a permit or just pay?
