I have a free trip to Jamaica for 4 days in 2nd week of October. After fruitless searching, I have yet to find any information on light tackle or preferably flyfishing in Jamaica. All I can find are charter boats. ANY help would be appreciated on wade fishing locales or guides that have any idea what a flyrod is. Thanks in advance.

I also have a free trip and love to flyfish. The date of my trip is March 6th of 2001. I noticed no one responded to your message. I am in a similar situation interested in fishing but have no clue once I reach Jamaica... Can you help?

if you have returned, and do have any info please pass it along. heading to jamaica 19 march. fing myself in the same situation, no clues.

Dan, I am headed to jamaica on the 28th of march. I've not heard a word about fishing jamaica. I've checked with some travel people and have had no success in getting information.. If you get any info please pass it along and I will do the same. If you go and get back by the 28th please let me know how it is for fishing. good luck.

I just returned for Jamaica and can tell you that there is just no fly fishing there to speak of. No one had any information at all with the exception of one guy who told me that a local in Montego Bay is planning fly fishing trips into the mountains sometime in the future. As for ocean fly fishing..........forget it.
