Bonefishing

I want to plan a trip to the carribbean to saltwater flyfish for bonefish. Any reccomendations? Looking for easy access from New York. Thanks

My favorite location is Exuma (Peace and Plenty) in the Bahamas but there are lots of other alternatives. P&P is a great setup, friendly people, great guides and loads of bonefish. There's also a legitimate chance of permit on the south end of the island.

I have also fished Ascension bay in the Yucatan (a couple of hours south of Cancun). We stayed at a private villa called Seaclusion - you can also stay at Boca Paila where they have a very nice setup. Both are reasonably accessible from NYC.
