Dug Pond Report
6:30 am - 12:00 pm
Dug Pond, Natick, MA
Set four tip-ups descending along a drop off from an island and jigged a fifth hole over 30' of water. This last hole was the most productive, yielding three yellow perch one of which was a chubby 12"er. Only two flags, one from the largest and overactive Shiner I had set and the other from a Pickerel. I have only caught or seen Pickerel up to 22" so far and judging by the head size on this one, which threw the hook at the hole, it must have been at least 28". The ice was 8-10" thick and all in all it was a very nice day.
Can't wait for Spring,
Sam
