USED HOBIE OR NEW LOGIC

Need advice. I can get a 96 16' hobie w/95hp jet really set up with all the bells and whistles one would want. Others have advised against it, due to intake fouling problems in shallower water. Dealer says it has a great rake system underneath that would prevent that from happening. Or for not that much more money I could get a new logic 17 flats boat w/50hp johnson. What do you think? Help from my fellow anglers would be greatly appreciated.

My boat slip is next to a Hobie 16CC - although I can't remember if its a Jet or an OB... Personnelly I think its built rather poorly. Very low feeboard, Bow heavy, and rather narrow beam - not a a very good fishing platform IMO...But maybe the Jet is a diferent design.
