Fishing In Curacao

A few months ago I requested info about fishing in Curaco. Got no responses, probably because it is the best kept secretin the Carribean. If you believe the BS that's put out about tarpon or bonefish you may be disapointed. Yes I did see tarpon, some about 4' and a school of bonefish swam by me while I was in the water at my hotel's beach. The locals don't fish for them because they are inedible and all they fis with are hand lines.
Yet I did have marvelous fishing just by walking the shore line and finding likely looking spots. What did I catch? don't have a clue. Most were jack-like and were between 2-5lbs. Did hook something, never saw it, that took out all of my running line and half my backing before it dropped the hook.
Would I go back? You bet! What a great winter break.

RE: Fishing In Curacao

Good to hear about a fun trip. I am really intereseted in hearing how the new rod you got as a gift last year is working out? Drop me an e-mail as I can not get your e-mail address to work (did it change?).
