RE: Sebastian Flats report
Dave,
Yes, I used my boat out there. The water temperature is sort of cool (62) which has made the fish a little lethargic and reluctant to hit lures. I wouldn't bother to make the trip up to the Sebastian area because I'm sure that the fishing is just as good down by Fort Pierce. It may even be a little better due to warmer water temps. The only flats that I've been to around Ft. Pierce were at the Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute. Don't worry though, there are lots of places to fish down there. Snook have been around and there have been reports of ladyfish and pompano in that area. I wish I could help more, but I'm new to the area and just learning.
Try Johnson silver/gold weedless spoons for reds. Ladyfish have been hitting small chartreuse bucktail jigs with the bucktail only going back just past the bend of the hook.
Good luck and let us know how you do!
Dave
