Sanibel Report 2-14-00

Dear Reel-timers;
Got a sore arm from catching over 70 fish yesterday with Captain Rick De Paiva out of Sanibel. Water was too cold for the snook to be lively, so we made up for it with over 60 jacks to 7 pounds, some on artificial and some on fly. What a fantastic fish on fly. My "homemade" clousers were exposed to be in need of more epoxy as they took a savage beating. Rest of the grabbag included some nice trout, a snapper and a pompano that attacked a DOA Terror Eyz. If this is a "slow" day, then it is a slow day in paradise.

RE: Sanibel Report 2-14-00

Dear Dave;
Been out of town, sorry about the delay in getting back to you. We went out of the Punta Rassa boat ramp and spent most of the time fishing near the mouth of the river. I forgot if I mentioned it in the post, but I was with Capt. Rick De Paiva of Flynutt Charters. He has some great spots. Since I am from the Miami area, my only reference points over there are the boat ramp and the Waterfront Cafe. We fished in between the 2 all day that day.
Take Care,
Andy
