Myrtle Beach end March

My wife and I are headed for this area and I want to know if I should take my flyrod...8wt. Anything doing inshore or along the Intercoastal?

RE: Myrtle Beach end March

the reds should be feeding, after a few months of near torpor. look for them on the mud flats around oyster beds at low tide then follow fish and tide up into the grass. contact Delta Guide Service in georgetown or rent a sea kayak and fish the cape romain wildlife area. there is also the possibility of getting into the trout- if you catch one your most likely to catch more in the same spot. find Rip he sells and maybe rents sea kayaks out of pawleys island- the creeks between pawleys and the mainland should have trout, flounder and reds
