any ideas on when the season starts in the Rhode Island and Connecticut waters. also where do the fish first start showing up.

I plan on fishing RI the weekend of 15-april, but I've heard some talk of 25-March?

First "fresh" fish for me last year was April 7th on the Cape. 100 fish days with monsters up to 17 inches by month end.... :-);

Last year on the first weekend of April I caught my first schoolie stripers at Shell Point in Onset near the canal. So there might be fish showing up around mid March in Rhode Island?????
